Mr Morley - 3M
Miss Stark - 3S
Mr Marshall - NQT cover for 3S
In year 3, our topic this term is the Stone Age to the Iron Age and our inquiry question is ‘What makes a home sweet home?’ We will be learning about Stone Henge, cave art, weapons, clothing and the development of the homes throughout these three periods. As we start our exciting new topic, we have a visitor coming to our school! A real life cave man. The children will have the opportunity to interact with the cave man and create some Stone Age weapons.
In maths this term, our focus will be on fractions, using our knowledge of multiplications and number skills to present and calculate number problems. This also will form the basis of maths homework. In English, we will be covering various text types and developing our skills as writers with a focus on using direct and indirect speech. Reading continues to play an important role in our learning and we hope to broaden the children's experience of authors and genres.
