Year 6 Punctuation Rap
GROUP 1:
We’re a part of the text gen-er-a-tion
We don’t want to start a dis-in-te-gra-tion
Not know-ing how to use the right punc-tu-a-tion
That’s gon-na hurt our rep-u-ta-tion!
GROUP 2:
How to use a cap-i-tal let-ter
Where to put a com-ma we could do bet-ter
To a semi-co-lon we’ve no ob-jec-tion
We use ex-cla-ma-tion marks, no ques-tion!
CHORUS:
Talk this way, write this way.
Write this way, talk this way.
Cel-e-brate, punc-tu-ate
Punc-tu-a-tion Dom-in-a-tion!
GROUP 3
We need to get some ac-cel-e-ra-tion
Of this awe-some in-vest-i-ga-tion.
Don’t just sit at your play-sta-tion
You got-ta know your punc-tu-a-tion
GROUP 4:
Get an ob-sess-ion for al-lit-er-a-tion
This could be a crime scene in-vest-iga-tion.
Here’s a rap that’s our cre-a-tion
So we can have a great rep-u-ta-tion to……
CHORUS:
Talk this way, write this way.
Write this way, talk this way.
Cel-e-brate, punc-tu-ate
Punc-tu-a-tion Dom-in-a-tion!
