IPSSA Medium School Boys' Football League Match Report: Britannia B 0-2 The Oaks A (10.03.16)

The Oaks A travelled to play Britannia B who had been struggling in the league. The Oaks started well with Jack B hitting a post early on. Jack B, who had settled into the game well, crossed the ball and Jack R made it 1-0 with a close finish. 1-0 to The Oaks! Come on! At the opposite end Britannia had a few chances but Ashley (de Gea) denied them with some great saves. During the rest of the half The Oaks had a lot of chances but could not score.

The score at half time was 1-0 but really it should have been more. Mr Marshall said we deserved to be 4-0 up! The gaffer said," keep working hard and the second goal will come".

The Oaks kicked off the second half and Lee nearly made it 2-0 with a great left foot curling shot which just missed the top corner. The game started to become scrappy but in the dying embers of the game Jack B made it 2-0 after beating the keeper 1 on 1.

The final whistle blew and The Oaks had won 2-0.
