IPSSA Small School Girls' Football League Report: Birchwood 1-8 The Oaks (06.06.16)

On Monday 6th June the girls' football team played their first league match against Birchwood Primary School.


The first half kicked off and both teams werre gradually getting into the game. A space opened within our defence and Birchwood scored and went ahead 1-0.


The Oaks were given a penalty which Beatrice took. She scored a great goal and brought the score to 1-1.


The Oaks girls then grew in confidence making fantastic passes and good runs. The Oaks continued to score goals resulting in an 8-1 win.


Goals were scored Beatrice with 5 goals, Lottie with 2 goals and Sharna with 1. All the girls on both teams played incredibly well and gained some match experience. Player of the match went to Beatrice for her all round commitment throughout the game.
