At the end of term the children will use this learning to recreate their own mock trial for the rest of the school. In maths this term we will be focusing on developing the children’s reasoning skills across the maths curriculum as well as consolidating their arithmetic skills. Please help your child practise their number skills focus each week and supporting them with their homework. In English we will be covering various text types and developing our skills as writers. Reading continues to play an important role in our learning and we hope to improve the children’s ability to develop their answers to questions. Year 6 showed incredible determination, perseverance and collaborating at Thorpe Woodlands. It was fantastic to see them supporting each other as they pushed themselves out of their comfort zone and achieved things they never thought they would. Photo discs will be available to buy - look out for a letter soon!
