Welcome to Year 2!
Our teachers in Year 2 are:
Mr Hunter (trainee teacher)
Year 2 will be learning about The Great Fire of London with a focus on the question ‘Fire: friend or foe?’ We will be starting with an exciting day experiencing life in 1666 as well as creating houses and burning London! We will be focusing on different questions about The Great Fire of London every week to build up our knowledge of the important event. In geography, we will be locating countries in the UK and their capital cities. In history, we will be sequencing events from the past and thinking about how we know about what happened in the great fire. In English we will be looking at poetry in order to write our own poem about fire. These will be published and sold and signed at Waterstones which is our FABULOUS FINISH!
*Year 2 will have PE every Wednesday and Friday (please make sure kit is named).
*Year 2 will bring homework home on a Friday that will be due back by Wednesday.
