Year 2 will be starting off the year by learning about The Great Fire of London.
Year 2 will be learning about The Great Fire of London with a focus on the question ‘Fire: friend or foe?’ We will be starting with an exciting day experiencing life in 1666 as well as creating houses and burning London! We will be focusing on different questions about The Great Fire of London every week to build up our knowledge of the important event. In geography, we will be locating countries in the UK, their capital cities and surrounding seas. In history, we will be ordering events from the past and comparing ways of life from 1666 and now. In English we will be looking at poetry in order to write our own poems about fire. These will be published, sold and signed at Waterstones which is our FABULOUS FINISH!
